How are the millions of unemployed supposed to afford Obama’s mandate to buy from private insurance companies?

Private health insurance premiums are expensive.
What is in the bill that is going to control costs and helped people afford private insurance? Does anyone know?

Can I reimburse myself health insurance costs from company?

We used to have individual health insurance, and I would pay for it out of my own company (an S Corp). When we got insurance through my husband’s employer, I stopped reimbursing myself.
He is paid for by the company, and then it costs extra to add myself and our child.
I was just going to deduct health insurance premiums on our Sch A, but we don’t have enough other medical expenses to meet the limit.
Is it ligit to go ahead and reimburse myself the amount that it cost for the health insurance? Then it would be a business expense. Thanks.

Are you surprised that the FDIC collected no insurance premiums from banks from 1996 thru 2006?

“The federal agency that insures bank deposits, which is asking for emergency powers to borrow up to $500 billion to take over failed banks, is facing a potential major shortfall in part because it collected no insurance premiums from most banks from 1996 to 2006…”

Company took out insurance premiums from paychecks when employee is not insured?

My husband and I worked for the same company until December of 2006. While we were employed we had medical insurance. In July of 2006 we received letters from the insurance company that ewxplained that our insurance had been terminated on April 30th of 2006. We contacted the employer immediately as they had continued to hold our insurance premiums from our paychecks over that period of time. We never did receive the money back after repeated requests. When we quit our jobs we contacted the US Department of Labor and filed a claim to get our money back and we still have not received anything. When I contact them they keep telling me there is nothing new with the investigation. Is there any other agency that I can contact for help with this?

Can you really be dropped from your health insurance even if you pay your premiums?

If so, what are the reasons?
Does the healthcare reform outlaw insurance from charging higher premiums for preexisting conditions?

Or just ban them from rejecting people outright?
P.S. I know there are House and Senate versions, that it’s not finalized, but what would be most likely.

What is the true reason Insurance companies are hiking premiums?Lack of reimbursement from Medicare perhaps?

If it is just greed then surely they must know that the end is near for them? Premiums on Health ins. are going up 30%-60% Blue Cross etc/. They say that people are dropping them so they are raising the rates. Ah wait a minute. Ah don’t that mean more will drop them as well?
Is Medicare the underlying reason? Please explain?
